The Village of Deerfield, Wisconsin (Dane County) was incorporated in 1891, and since that time has been a thriving community in south central Wisconsin. This scenic corridor connects Cottage Grove - just outside of Madison - with Waukesha, 52 miles to the east, along an old railroad bed. Faithful stewardship by the state Department of Natural Resources and breathtaking vistas make it a favorite of bikers, hikers, joggers, berry pickers, photographers and snowmobilers.

Every Saturday in August and September, villagers find an abundance of freshly grown produce and other local baked goods in the downtown Glacial Drumlin trailhead parking lot. The Farmer's Market is the ideal spot in town to catch up on all the latest local news. Show up early, enjoy a hot cup of coffee and a homemade sweet roll, then stroll around to check out what the neighbor farmers are selling.
